Cafe Asia 2: Experience Authentic Asian Fusion Flavors

Visiting from Houston and this place did not disappoint, enjoyed the food we ordered. Michael our server was great !

Wonderful and fresh. The food is always made to perfection. The soup and the sushi we had was delicious. We have gone 5 times. The service was 4.5. All but one of time it was fantastic service that time wasn’t counted here as we came in to order take out.

We got an urge for sushi and Cafe Asia popped up as being nearby. Oddly we had driven by it before and now we are sorry we did not stop more often. Clean, well appointed, and a hot moist towel before and after your meal. I cannot remember when that happened last. The sushi menu is extensive; you can sit at the bar and watch the chef slice and roll. We enjoyed a soft shell crab roll and the Thai Seafood Fried Rice; both were delicious. Our server was about perfect in speed, knowledge, and knowing when to come and check on us. Our next trip to Roanoke will include a stop at Cafe Asia.

We come here every year for sushi on our anniversary. I highly recommend getting the maki special of the day; we have never been disappointed. I love getting the bento box too, it's a beautiful selection of this and that and it is always delicious!

Our server was friendly and professional. I ordered the lunch special garlic chicken with fried rice and wonton soup. The tea I ordered was steaming hot, as was my meal. Everything was delicious. My husband ordered the pick two sushi special and said it was very good. The only thing I didn't like is that my meal came out at least five minutes before my husband's meal. However, it was the busy lunch hour. I would rather receive my meal hot and fresh than sit under a heat lamp, but not having meals arrive together makes having lunch together not as much fun. The waitress was apologetic, and it was no one's fault. I still think a five star rating is appropriate.

Overall I cannot wait to go back. The entire circumstance of our dining was excellent. Slightly chilly at our table but there wasn't a ton of people in there. We shared our food allergies with our server. They were very proactive with making sure we had what we needed without getting into issues. Our selections were very fresh and tasty. I was introducing somebody to sushi and the understanding of quality and taste. I am very happy to have chosen Cafe Asia 2. They went from not sure and concerned to very satisfied. They feel they are capable of trying other types of sushi and that means this restaurant changed their perspective. We ordered a Japanese noodle dish that was outstanding! The quality of the shrimp were juicy and tasty too. I cannot say enough. Yummy act fresh with great service!!! I come here about once or twice a month. The owner always greets customers warmly, and the waitstaff take really good care of me. My favorite dish here is definitely the sushi — it’s excellent. As for the Chinese and Thai dishes, I’d rate them around 7/10, decent but not outstanding. If you visit this place, I highly recommend going for the sushi. The restaurant itself is clean and well-kept. The only downside is the parking, which is often not sufficient.

Sushi rolls were excellent. Service was wonderful. Hot green tea served before meal brought back comfy memories. They have a beautiful bar, but this time we sat in a cozy table area. One small complaint is bobba tea was served in curved cocktail glasses that made it difficult to enjoy with the usual thick straw. At the end of my taro root bobba there was still almost all the bobba and a lot of ice. I would go again, but skipping the bobba if served the same way.
